Gates formerly served as CEO of Microsoft until 2000 when he resigned from the position so as to spend more time on the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2008, Gates abandoned his fulltime job in Microsoft in an official capacity to concentrate all his efforts on philanthropy. Free Robux Generator Hack No Survey 2021
Why Bill Gates Steps Down from Microsoft Board
Gates stepping down from the board is apparently because of similar motives, with a media release announcing the information citing a desire to”dedicate more time to his philanthropic priorities.” Gates will nevertheless function as a”technology adviser” to present CEO Satya Nadella, a role he started in 2014 in Nadella’s petition when he resigned from serving as chairman of Microsoft’s board.
“It has been a tremendous honor and privilege to have worked with and learned from Bill through the years. And Microsoft and the world are better for this,” Nadella commented in a statement. “The board has benefited from Bill’s vision and leadership. And Microsoft will continue to benefit from Bill’s ongoing technical passion and advice to drive our services and products forward. I’m thankful for Bill’s friendship and look forward to continuing to work together with him to realize our mission to enable every individual and every organization in the world to achieve more.”
While Gates will still be somewhat involved with the firm he founded through his position as a technology adviser, the move marks the furthest step away from running Microsoft which Gates has taken yet because he gave up the role of CEO back in 2000.
That is incorrect; Gates resigned in 2000 and left his fulltime job at Microsoft in 2008. We regret the mistake.
